TEX Wallet is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our wallet application and services. By using TEX Wallet, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
TEX Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, meaning we do not have access to or control over your private keys or funds. We collect minimal information to provide and improve our services:
• Network Data: When you interact with blockchain networks, transaction data is processed through public blockchain nodes. This data is inherently public and recorded on the blockchain.
• Support Communications: If you contact our support team, we may collect your email address and the content of your communications to provide assistance.
• Preferences: Your app preferences such as language selection and theme settings are stored locally on your device.
• Analytics Data: We collect anonymized technical information including a randomly generated installation identifier, device operating system version, application version, and language setting to improve application stability and performance. This data is not linked to your identity.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
• To provide and maintain our wallet services
• To improve user experience and application performance
• To respond to your support requests and communications
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud
3. Private Keys and Security
Your security is our top priority. TEX Wallet is designed with the following principles:
• Non-Custodial Design: We never have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. Your keys are stored locally on your device and encrypted with your password.
• Local Storage: All sensitive data, including your wallet credentials, are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
• You Control Your Assets: Only you have access to your funds. We cannot access, freeze, or recover your wallet without your private key or seed phrase.
• Security Best Practices: We employ industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect the application from vulnerabilities.
4. Third-Party Services
TEX Wallet integrates with third-party services to provide functionality:
• Blockchain Networks: When you use TEX Wallet, your transactions are broadcast to blockchain networks (Ethereum, TRON, etc.). These networks operate independently and have their own privacy policies.
• Exchange Services: If you use swap or exchange features, your transaction data may be processed by third-party exchange providers subject to their privacy policies.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
• Analytics and Notifications: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) to collect anonymized usage statistics and deliver push notifications. Firebase's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Local Data Storage
TEX Wallet stores all your data locally on your device:
• Essential Data: We store essential preferences locally, such as language selection and theme settings, to maintain your user experience.
• Wallet Data: All wallet credentials, private keys, and transaction history are stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to any server.
You have complete control over your local data and can delete it at any time by uninstalling the application.
6. Data Retention
We retain data for the following periods:
• Support Communications: Support emails and communications are retained for up to 2 years to maintain service quality and resolve recurring issues.
• Local Wallet Data: Data stored locally on your device (private keys, wallet addresses, transaction history) remains until you delete the application or manually remove the data.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
• Access: You can request information about the data we collect.
• Deletion: You can delete your locally stored wallet data by uninstalling the application.
• Data Portability: Your wallet data (addresses, private keys) can be exported and imported to other compatible wallets.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@texwallet.org.
8. International Data Transfers
TEX Wallet is accessible globally. By using our services, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by our service providers within the European Economic Area (EEA). All international data transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission, ensuring your data receives equivalent protection regardless of where it is processed.
9. Children's Privacy
TEX Wallet is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
